Parents vote to drop Michael Jackson's name from elementary school's hall


Parents has convened and voted at a Los angeles elementary school on whether to drop Michael Jackson's name from auditorium after the damaging allegation nailed against the late pop singer in a documentary.

Gardner's Street school Michael jackson auditorium has been a thorny issue ever since the airing of  ''Leaving Neverland'' , an HBO documentary which alleges the pop singer of molesting 2 boys when they were seven and ten years old.

The Late Michael jackson attended the school back in 1969, he left when their family band had their first massive hit ''I want you back''.

Officials of the school did not revealed when the results of the week's votes will be released.

"In the light of some remarks made by some parents and team members about the current name of our auditorium hall, we gave the opportunity to parents and employees to decide on the issue" as stated by principal Karen Hollis.

The hall at the school, in the heart of hollywood, was named after Jackson in 1989 before the allegations of abuse levelled up against the singer who met his death in 2009 as a result of drug overdose.
